HOLZ- & LINOLSCHNITT
Der Künstler kann durch diese Technik eine Bildidee vervielfältigen. Beim Holz- oder Linolschnitts wird ein Motiv in eine Holz- oder Linolplatte (aus)geschnitten. Dann werden die hochstehenden Flächen mit Farbe eingewalzt und auf Papier gedruckt. Jede Druckfarbe benötigt eine eigene Druckplatte. Die Drucke werden durch Handabzug hergestellt, so dass die Auflagenhöhe klein bleibt.
WOOD- & LINOCUT
The technique allows the artist to multiply an idea. By the technique of wood- or linocut the motiv is cut out of a woodblock or linoplate. After that the upper parts of the plate are inked and a sheet of paper is pressed upon the plate. Every color needs a different plate. The printing is a handmade process and enables to produce only small editions.
